Living on the road is a lifestyle. No, I’m not camping. It isn’t a two year vacation. I live in an RV.
My husband and I lived in a slide-in truck camper for five years. His health deteriorated and we returned to the farm where our two youngest daughters resided. After he passed, my mother passed three weeks later. She left her 2002 Tioga motor home to me. I made some changes, added new border in the kitchen, new sheets and quilt to the master bedroom area, and little by little it is becoming my home.
At first I did have a rough time making the changes. I continued to see it as hers. Then one day it was as if she sat at the kitchen table having coffee with me and I knew it was time to give ‘Bessie’ a new name and take her one another adventure.
My mission is to rename her, finalize the decor, and finish moving out of the house.
Until next time…happy trails.
